With the 2,3 MB big tool WuselSort in Version 0.6.1 Build 01 (BETA) You can very easily the channels in Windows Media Center in Windows 7 Sort, Rename, Deactivate, Backing up and restoring the channel sorting and EPG lists to an assignment of the channels.
For me, the backup and restoration of channel sorting crucial, I've set up on another Windows computer as well with the Media Center DVBS2.
The requirement is the final establishment of the TV with Windows Media Center with repeated tuning, so really all the HD channels like ARD and ZDF HD are found. Important: Be closed before starting the software, the Windows Media Center.
Now the software as a msi package here downloaded. After successful installation and start the application, the channel list from the Media Center database read. Then you can start the channel sorting. If necessary, is also under the tab "EPG Listenzuordung" to sort the EPG data available.

At irregular intervals, I would like to user applications for Windows Phone, So imagine Apps, the everyday life easier and it can already be found not just among the top ten are!
The first one is the free app "Satellite Finder", the application was developed by Ulrich Muller.
In order to fully realign my satellite dish, this app was a great helper. Found in the Market Place and the 1 MB little app installed, it was ready for use. Requirements are Windows Phone7.5 and a GPS signal. The app needs to access the functions of location services, data services, movement and directional sensor, music + video library, compass.
It is only the language of English only, which is not affected in the least to operate. Must first be selected under the "Settings" option "Enable Location Data", otherwise no position determination is possible.
